After graduating, Chris worked at the Environmental Background Information Center for nine years, becoming the Associate Director, before it closed in 2003 due to the non-profit funding crisis. During that time, he also formed the Industrial band Mindless Faith in 1995, with his brother Jason, and went on to release four studio albums and appear on over 25 compilations, MTV's Road Rules and Real World, X-box 360 video game PGR3, and more. They have toured the US as well as Holland and won a NIN remix contest, with Trent Reznor telling them their remix was "better than remixes I've paid for." The duo is soon to release the third, fourth, and fifth full-length CDs of their more recent Chillout project, aptly titled Grains of Sound, which also has tracks on three compilations. Mixing audio and video live since 1998, Chris, aka DJ-VJ Exeris, has held residencies at various clubs, both as a DJ and VJ. He has performed at many renowned venues, such as The Limelight (NYC) and at the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame. Not only has he toured the United States as a VJ with bands such as The Black Keys and Dinosaur Jr., he has also performed abroad, DJ'ing in Amsterdam. As a VJ, Exeris has worked with artists from a wide range of genres, including Biz Markie, DJ AM and Carl Cox. As a DJ, he prefers to move the masses with his favorite styles: Ambient/Chillout, Industrial/EBM and Trance.
